V4JJ support of youth attending HCBU college tours

This year, we were proud to support a remarkable young individual who exemplifies leadership, academic excellence, and community engagement.

Amon Hawthorne, a junior at Penn Hills High School, is a standout scholar and athlete. He maintains a place on the High Honor Roll, serves as the starting point guard for the basketball team, and was recognized as 2024 Player of the Year. Beyond athletics, Amon is a dedicated student leader and a participant in the Aaron Donald Prep Forward program, which helps prepare young men for success on and off the field.

Amon also gives back to his community through his work with Ozanam, Inc., where he mentors and counsels younger students—demonstrating a commitment to service and leadership well beyond the classroom or court. (Shared with his permission.)

In addition to this individual support, we also provided funding to the Iota Phi Foundation of Pittsburgh, helping to create meaningful opportunities for local youth pursuing higher education at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). We're honored to invest in these students and their futures.

These efforts reflect our ongoing mission to uplift and empower the next generation of leaders—through education, mentorship, and meaningful support.
